The Challenge
The Boar’s Head Grill & Tavern has been around for a long time. They wanted the site to portray the feel of the tavern. They wanted an online menu that they could edit, as well as editable testimonials and quotes. Their location is tricky so they wanted people to know exactly how to make it to the restaurant.
The Solution
We created an aesthetic that felt like an old tavern, heavily laden with wood. The dark wood contrasted with lighter colors really made the graphics stand out. The first thing you see on the home page is a couple featured menu items, so there is no question that it is a restaurant site. You can view each featured entree with a convenient JQuery (Java) selector. A large map button is found at the top so there is no confusion in finding the restaurant. All the content for the menus is accessible through our custom Wordpress back end for quick easy editing and addition. We also implemented a photo gallery and integrated Google Map.
