Mitsui O.S.K Lines is the largest shipping line in the world, with over 870 ships and over 100 offices all over the world. It has extremely complicated IT and communications requirements and they turned to their advertising firm, Longwater & Company, who turned to Gauge Interactive to come up with an innovative solution to allow their thousands of clients to have a dynamic, hosted, searchable, and quickly updatable central repository of all the firms many PDF advisories it issued previously only by e-mail on adjustments in trade regulations, shipping rates, tax rates, and more.
The Solution
Gauge Interactive developed a cutting-edge solution using the Google Mini Search Appliance, allowing MOL to continue to issue advisories in its current process of PDF, but having the ability to search online from anywhere in the world, as opposed to reviewing purely via email. Hosted in our datacenter in Dallas, we make sure MOL's clients worldwide have access 24/7 to the latest information so they can successfully run their businesses.
